So, it’s been a while! I’ve taken a fairly lengthy break from writing articles for this newsletter, largely due to the birth of our son, Augustine Fredrick, in May and a busy season at work. Praise God for our little man and for my lovely wife who is such a wonderful mother. I hope to start getting back into writing more frequently as my schedule allows. With that said, let’s get on with it.
Been so long, Ben, that your child is almost read to read your articles!
Poking the bear, hoping you get back in the saddle and begin cooking with gas. A three-way metaphor concoction of animal husbandry, rodeo, and kitchen essentials.
You can find my new newsletter Catholic Nutshell News on my https://pearring.substack.com site. I gather articles of merit for a Catholic audience, and yours was a candidate before you slipped into fatherhood. Hoping you do that thing with the bear, horse, and stove.
Contemplating the love of the Eternal Father is my favorite, something that's come to me these last few years through my own father. This is such a valuable post, not very many Catholics speak about our Father.

God bless.

Beautiful writing, thank you!
